Each workspace in Conductor contains an activity feed powered by the RingCentral App (Jupiter). Access to workspaces is controlled by the activity feed.

The activity feed can be used to invite and collaborate with other RingCentral team members and customers during the implementation process. Additionally, the activity feed provides visibility into build progress by automatically posting notifications when items are created, modified, or completed inside of a workspace.

When a new workspace is created, Conductor automatically generates 2 teams. These teams should never be deleted or renamed as it will permanently sever access to the workspace:

  • A team for RingCentral employees, labelled “INT-CUSTOMER_NAME-UID-QUOTE_ID”.
  • A team for RingCentral employees and customers, labelled “CUST-CUSTOMER_NAME-UID-QUOTE_ID”.

Only the owner of the workspace can invite new customer users to the workspace. However, any RingCentral employee who is a member of the workspace can invite any other RingCentral employee to join the workspace.

Conductor’s integration to Jupiter is “bi-directional”, meaning that anything that is posted in Conductor’s activity feed will show up in the corresponding team in Jupiter and vice-versa.

Conductor also exposes Jupiter’s files and notes features, allowing you to use them inside of Conductor’s activity feed like you are already accustomed to with Jupiter.
